What we have been up too!

We finally have a computer!!! We are finally settling into our house and Sean has already started traveling for work.  He was at least here to see the all our house hold goods arrive then it was off to Baharain for 6 days.  Here is some fun stuff we have found! I unfortunately have misplaced my camera battery but hopefully i can keep the pictures coming!!!

Gaia Zoo - Although it was a little expensive (I found out late if you buy the year pass it is so much cheaper) it was a really beautiful park! I was just big enough for a nice afternoon out! I loved that we got to see animals in almost every enclosure (sometimes they like to hide) and it was so clean! They have an awesome exhibit building called Dino Dome which had a really cool climbing area in the middle! It had some great playgrounds and an nice little cafe!

Kastel Hoensbroek - This was a fun afternoon we had when we didn't want to go far but needed to get the kids out of the hotel.  It wasn't expensive and was fun to wander through the kastel at our own pace.  There were lots of hallways and to go through which the kids loved.  In the entry square there were lots of fun games for the kids to place (adults too) which Bella and Zerek never wanted to leave.  Nice little cafe that had coffe and treats!

Fairytale Forest - This was a fun little treasure about 20ish min from us in Valkenburg.  There were so many different play places for the kids and little houses along the path that depicted different fairytales.  Wasn't quite prepared for all the uphill walking (the whole thing is up hill) but Bella survived and Zerek had so much fun running around.

Discovery Center Kerkrade - This was a small science museum the Bella absolutely loved! Unfortunately it was all in dutch and german so we didn't really understand anything, but it was so hands on with pictures and things to touch that it wasn't that big of a deal.  They had a visiting section that was all about the future which was really interested.  Everyone got a wrist bracelet and it allowed you to activate each booth (talked about everything from population to travel).  They had a really awesome new outside play area that was full of different water toys to see how water changes sound.  Zerek loved running around the music area where there where all different things use to try and make music.
